The Career and Workforce Development (CWD) department is part of the comprehensive career and guidance support system dedicated to helping the community and its members with career and life planning needs.
The CWD team works closely with instructors, program counselors, and employers to facilitiate student success in obtaining and retaining employment. Workshops, Career courses, Work readiness certificates, individualized counseling, and lifelong job assistance services are offered to students and graduates who are actively looking for a job.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Windward Community College Employment Training Center’s Career & Workforce Development (CWD) department is to support workforce development by providing career and job readiness services for our students, faculty, and community.
CWD GOALS
- Assisting in the student learning of career readiness, employment processes, and job retention.
- Promoting campus-wide workforce development activities.
- Facilitating connections for students and faculty with employers and community members,
including disseminating information regarding employment opportunities and career/labor market trends.
